DarusSalam Academy’s After-School Qur’an and Islamic Studies Program is committed to teach students the recitation of the Qur’an with tajwīd and instill within them the central and essential teachings of Islam which are obligatory on every Muslim to learn. This program is geared towards each and every single Muslim boy and girl of our community. This is an ideal opportunity for school-going children to learn the recitation of the Qur’an, gain an Islamic education, and learn Islamic values and morals in a conducive environment.
Our program not only concentrates on Qur’an recitation with correct tajwid, but also on Islamic disciplines such as the seerah & sunnah of the Prophet (S.A.W.), Islamic legal rulings, du‘as for various occasions, and prophetic narrations.
The academy also strives to nurture students’ overall moral and ethical values, preparing them for leadership of the Muslim community.
Our goal is to instill in each student the love and understanding of Allah, his Prophet (S.A.W.), Islam, and to develop a positive Muslim identity committed to his religion, family, and community.
Students are accepted after being assessed on their recitation of the Qur’an. The following forms must be completed:
- Registration Form
- Automated Clearing House (ACH) Form must be completed and signed by account holder to authorize monthly deductions for tuition payments.
Student’s acceptance will be conditional, based on behavior and progress. If this is not met, the Academy reserves the right to remove the child from the program.
Students already fluent in recitation may enroll in our part-time hifz program. Those that are already hafiz may revise their Qur’an in this class.
