Mufti Minhajuddin Ahmed

Mufti Minhajuddin Ahmed serves as the director of DarusSalam Foundation. He was blessed with the memorization of the Holy Qur’an by age 10 and later received formal authorizations in the sacred Islamic sciences at the culmination of an eight-year alim and ifta program at Darul Uloom Zakariyya in Johannesburg, South Africa. He also received authorizations in various recitations (Ten Qira’at) of the Holy Qur’an from the Qiraat Master, Qari Ayub bin Ibrahim Ishaaq. He studied hadith and ifta under one of the greatest scholars of our time, Mufti Rada-ul-Haq. He served as the imam and director of the Islamic Foundation of Greater St. Louis in St. Louis, Missouri from 2006 to 2011.

Mufti Minhajuddin handles many of the day-to-day functions of the masjid, such as delivering khutbahs, leading prayers, conducting educational programs, etc. He teaches introductory Arabic, tajweed (Quranic pronunciation), aqeedah (Islamic beliefs), seerah (the prophetic biography), and intermediate usool al-fiqh (principles of Islamic Law).

 

Mufti Azeemuddin Ahmed

Mufti Azeemuddin Ahmed was born and raised in the Chicagoland area. At a very early age he memorized the Holy Qur’an. Mufti Azeemuddin then set out for South Africa to begin a rigorous eight-year alim and ifta course at Darul Uloom Zakariyya in Johannesburg, South Africa. There, he was blessed with the opportunity to study under one of the world’s elite jurists and scholars of hadith, Mufti Rada-ul-Haq, among many other notable scholars of Islam. Following his graduation with top honors from South Africa, Mufti Azeemuddin went on to earn his BA in Psychology from Elmhurst College. He served as the director of AIA Masjid in Frankfort, Illinois from 2006 to 2012.

Mufti Azeemuddin serves as the principal of DarusSalam Academy and teaches introductory Arabic, intermediate Arabic grammar, intermediate and advanced Arabic literature, and introductory and intermediate conversational Arabic. Mufti Azeemuddin also serves as the associate Imam and Khateeb of Masjid DarusSalam.

 

Mufti Ehzaz Ajmeri

Mufti Ehzaz Ajmeri grew up in Chicago. In pursuit of traditional Islamic knowledge, Mufti Ehzaz traveled to South Africa where he pursued a rigorous seven-year alim course under some of the world’s foremost scholars, including Mufti Rada-ul-Haq, from whom he received formal certifications (ijazah). Following his graduation, Mufti Ehzaz enrolled at Madrasah Inamiyyah in Camperdown, South Africa where he spent an additional two years working on a specialization in the field of ifta (issuance of legal verdicts) under the world famous scholar Mufti Ebrahim Desai. He served in the ifta department at Sharia Supervisory Board of America for two years and also served as the Imam of Masjid al-Islam in Bolingbrook, Illinois.

Mufti Ehzaz teaches introductory, intermediate, and advanced fiqh (Islamic Law), introductory and intermediate Arabic grammar, and ilm al-hadith.

Maulana Ahteramul Haque

Maulana Ahteramul Haque serves as an instructor at DarusSalam Aacademy. He was blessed with the memorization of the Holy Qur’an by age 11 at Darul Uloom Detroit and later received formal authorization in the sacred Islamic sciences at the culmination of a seven-year alim program at Darul Uloom Zakariyya in Johannesburg, South Africa. He also received authorizations in various recitations (Seven Qira’at) of the Holy Qur’an from the Qiraat Master, Qari Ayub bin Ibrahim Ishaaq. He served as an instructor at Darul Uloom, Detriot and also served as the imam of the Canton Islamic Center in Michigan.

Mawlana Ifdhal Khan

Mohammed Ifdhal Khan was born in 1991 in Bangladesh and came to the United States when he was two years old. He and his family resided in Detroit where he attended public school.

At the age of 12 he returned to his home country, Bangladesh, to memorize the Quran which he completed by the age of 14. He was then blessed to enroll in Darul Uloom Zakariyya , South Africa for the seven year ‘Aalim program.

Mawlana Ali Godil

Lecturer

Raised in the United States, Ali Godil began his study of the Islamic sciences with local scholars in the Greater Chicago Area. His desire to continue his studies on a more formal basis brought him to Egypt, initially pursuing private instruction in the Arabic language in Alexandria for a year, then spending the next five years in Cairo, graduating from the Faculty of Hadith in the College of Usul al-Din, Al-Azhar University. In addition to his university classes, he was blessed with the opportunity to supplement his education through attending both public and private lessons covering various disciplines and continues to do so.

He joined the DarusSalam Academy staff in 2015 and will be teaching conversational Arabic, literature, and Shafi`i fiqh.

Maulana Musaeb Arefin

Maulana Musaeb Arefin serves as an instructor at DarusSalam Academy. He was born in Bangladesh and moved to the US at the age of seven. He began memorization of the Holy Qur’an in New York and completed in 2004 in South Africa. Thereafter hecompleted a rigorous six year ‘alim program at Darul Uloom Azaadville. In 2011, He served as an imam of a Masjid in Long Island, NY. He also served as an imam in New York City, where he began teaching at a local madrasa. In 2014, he served as khatib for the Islamic Cultural Center of Niagara Falls, NY.

In 2015, he joined the staff at DarusSalam Foundation where he teaches Arabic, Tajwid, and Fiqh in the full time ‘alim program.
